There are no real steps you can take to obtain a bonded Fairie Light. Somewhere between Angel Tear and Angel Karma you reach the level needed in order to receive a bonded Fairie Light. The exact level is not known at this time. You can continue to add to your Karma after you reach Angel but you will never know how much more Karma you have after the highest level. Karma bonues from alliances or quests will not ask you if you want a Fairie Light. You must mentor someone to receive the message asking if you want a Fairie Light. You will receive a pop up message asking, "Thy karma fills thy soul. Shall it light the way for all?". If you select "No, I'll retain my Karma.", then you will keep your current level of karma without having a Fairie Light. If you select "Yes", you will receive a bonded Fairie Light and lose a great deal of Karma. Many players go back to Cat Karma. A change to this quest as of September 2007 is that you may receive more than one message asking if you want a Fairie Light in case you change your mind at a later date. To get the message, just mentor one more person.
