Mongol Invasion

During King Yuri's final Royal Ball in the 82nd year of his reign, before his death, the attendants had much to say in the name of gossip. One spoke of Blight, who had been rather quiet at the Ball. He stated that Blight was collecting large amounts of weaponry but would then serve the attendant their drink and leave it at that. What could he possibly be preparing for?

The servers at the ball all had their share of gossip to spread, but it seemed some of them were right on the mark!

In the summer of MuHyul's first year of reign, Blight showed his face once more for he had disappeared for a while after the Royal Ball ended. The Beast of Nagnang carried many intriguing things on his person, equipment never seen before in these lands -- wearing gutuls and a beautiful foreign sword known only as the Militant kallal. Blight was seen fumbling around with a small map; when asked said he was looking for someone to talk to and spoke of the west.

This letter was found pinned to the Dream Weaver board, and it was obvious that it would be a precursor to events on their way:

"Yesterday while hunting in the woodlands, I noticed a movement behind a tree. I slowly approached the tree and suddenly saw a flash of purple. Underneath the lowest limb, was General Blight! I was shocked! Thank goodness he didn't notice me.

What was he doing out here alone and hiding? I looked at him closely and noticed he had a weapon tied at his waist. This sword was something I had never seen before and nothing one of our smiths had ever crafted. Roughly crafted but with graceful beauty my mouth watered for a closer look. He also had other unusual items displayed proudly on his armor. The sun hit the metal on the sword and I was drawn back to its beauty. Blight started to sneak into the shadows. Should I follow him? Would he lead me to similar treasures? Was I willing to risk my life or my family for a pretty blade? Not today, I thought to myself and saw Blight's shadow disappear. Well I guess it is back to rabbit hunting for me."

We know from past occurances that Blight is obessed with stockpiling weapons and armor. Who can really trust him? After all, he has been the cause of hardship and struggles in the past.

Within a short time, we found that the Mongols had invaded us. This we could easily see while walking through the Nangen Woodlands. From behind large trees, or even from above, we would be ambushed by hordes of Mongol scouts ready to strike. Had they invaded our lands or were they simply invited here by Blight so that he might purchase arms?

During our investigations it became readily apparent that Blight had taken to showing off his newly-found sword, the Kallal. Various shop-keepers and even a legendary pumpkin loving hermit spoke of his visits to them. A newly discovered place, which is known as Dharani's, also taught us that Blight hadn't readily known where the Mongols were camping out. He had visited Dharani and used the large stone statue in the center to aid him in some way.

After discovering the whereabouts of the Mongol camps, we attacked to repel their invasion. They stormed after us with some of the most intelligent beings we have ever encountered within the Kingdom of the Winds, using tricky magics and skills that caused us to hamper our progress (such as ink in the face). It became apparent that the Mongols were not simply here for Blight to purchase goods from. They were preparing themselves for an invasion and we had to make a preemptive strike.

The story has just begun to unfold as we now wait to see if we have slain enough of the Mongols army to end their plans of invasion. What of Blight's stockpile of weapons?
