Second Sambok Festival Held in Nagnang
Posted by: Kaleea -- 12:53 AM EST

The highly anticipated Sambok Festival took place tonight, bringing together the community to celebrate the hottest day of summer. The event, now in its second year, was a resounding success, offering a refreshing escape from the sweltering heat.

The festival kicked off with a protection ritual performed by Druid MiniPOCPOET, who invoked the power of Nagnang and called upon celestial beings to bless the land with peace, prosperity, and protection. Here is a transcription of the ritual:
"As I breathe in, I call upon the ancient wisdom of the land.
As I breathe out, I release all negative energies and unwanted influences.
I invoke the power of Nagnang. May your energies surround me now, infusing me with positivity and light.
Celestial beings above, I call upon your divine power to bless Nagnang with peace and prosperity.
Let your light descend upon us, filling our hearts with love and light.
May this light be a beacon of hope and joy, dispelling darkness and negativity wherever it may roam.
Let it create a shield of protection around Nagnang, keeping all who walk these lands be safe and secure.
I offer my gratitude to the spirits of Nagnang and the celestial beings above.
Thank you for your guidance and blessings.
May this land be filled with peace, harmony, and love.
Let the energy of this ritual be sealed within the earth, anchoring it's protection and good energies to Nagnang.
May it resonate throughout the land, nurturing all who walk upon it today and in the days to come.
So mote it be.
May Nagnang be protected and surrounded by positive energies.
Blessed be.
"

Nagnang Sage Kaleea then welcomed guests emphasizing the importance of community and connection. She also announced the Communal Soup event, where visitors could contribute ingredients to a shared pot, with the person contributing the most items winning a Golden Chef Hat.

Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed various activities, including Sambok's Abundant Gifts, Kimchi Toss, Archery, What's For Dinner, Blades of Glory, Fickle Feats, and Nagnang Knowledge Trivia.

The highlight moment of the night was the Defender Ceremony, when several individuals were recognized for their contributions to the community. Here is a list of all who pledged their oath at this time:

Alizarin Clan: willowyspr and Pixy
Covenant Clan: Darthok and Trot
Forsaken Clan: Berict and Itoi
K'urimja Clan: Dissolution and Hunt
Pegasus Clan: Majo and BraveStones
Silla Clan: Sangkyu and Patronum
Royal Guard of Nagnang: Riker
Eternal Order of Nagnang: Itero
Note: Those nominated that were unable to attend the ceremony will need to coordinate with the Royal family at a later date]

The evening culminated with the reveal of the Golden Chef Hat winner, LordFroggie, who was awarded the coveted prize. King ChaeRi then led a group of attendees on a Royal hunt to cap off the night.

This year's Sambok Festival was a testament to the strength of community and camaraderie in Nagnang. With its unique blend of games, food, and entertainment, it's no surprise that this event has become a beloved tradition.

Sambok Festival Announced
Posted by: Kaleea -- 6:43 PM EST

Nagnang's citizens revel in the warmth of summer, savoring the spicy kick of gochu peppers in kimchi and the languid days of the season.

Sambok, also known as "boknal," refers to three non-consecutive summer days, widely regarded as the hottest of the year. To commemorate this sweltering period, we celebrate with nutritious summer fare and refreshing activities to combat the heat. While some might crave respite from the sun's intensity, we find solace in hearty stews that match the ferocity of the season.

Falling between July and August, Sambok comprises three distinct days: Chobok, Jungbok, and Malbok, spanning approximately 20-30 days. In Nagnang, we condense this celebration into a lively day extravaganza at our iconic Nagnang Fairgrounds.

The Eternal Order of Nagnang extends an invitation to the community to join us in this inaugural festival:

As summer's warmth envelops us, we come together to revel in the languid days and celebrate the anticipation of the harvest season. We'll combat the heat with an array of cooling delights, indulge in sweet treats and refreshing beverages, and take pleasure in melon-filled reprieves.

We warmly invite you to join us at the Nagnang Fairgrounds for a joyous celebration of Sambok, featuring fun games, hearty cuisine, and convivial company. Let us toast to the dog days of summer together! Please see Sage Kaleea if you have any questions.

Happy hunting: NexusTK turns 26 years old
Posted by: Chongde -- 4:35 AM EST

The Incubator in Buya sees a wave of people demanding assorted modulators to enhance their hunting experience. Wisdom Star is one of the traditions of the Kingdom's anniversary, with the modulators providing experience multipliers.

The community patiently awaited the coming storm, as the date of 7/1/2024 held promise of the Kingdoms' anniversary. Once the clouds parted, and the opening window chimed "Happy Anniversary," denizens flocked to the Incubator to yell at WoonSoo to surrender the goods to get Wisdom star rolling. People are eager to hunt and flex their muscles, after all.

WoonSoo in the Incubator responds to the phrase "Wony's Modulator" with the offer of purchasing one. The cost of these modulators scales with the player's stats:

Level 99: 25,000
Il san: 50,000
Ee san: 100,000
Sam san: 150,000
Sa San: 250,000
Oh San: 350,000
Yuk San: 450,000

Saying the phrase "Alilana Grande" to WoonSoo brings up the prompt to buy an Alilana Grande modulator for the price of 5 Daily Coins.

Both these modulators last 8 hours. Each provides a 20% bonus to hunting experience.

WoonSoo will also sell DC Modulators after giving a statement of "DC Modulator" in the Incubator. These modulators can stack up to three times, and cost 5 Daily Coins each. A DC Modulator adds a 10% bonus to hunting experience, and also lasts 8 hours.

Note: Stacked modulator experience factors are multiplied, not simply added, resulting in over 90% boost if all 5 are stacked. NexusAtlas has not been able to verify if the modulators effect crafting.

With the anniversary week comes the celebratory Anniversary Swords. Visit your favorite kingdom greeter and select "Anniversary Sword" from their menu to receive yours, alongside a complimentary Anniversary Orb Coupon.

Another Nexus anniversary tradition is introducing the newest Wisdom Clothes/Staves. This year welcomes the SeuMoolYeoSeoBeunZe Staff, modeled to the left by Baksu.

It's almost impossible to believe our beloved game has been online for 26 years. May the Kingdoms continue to see life and wonder for years to come!

Aamin named Royal Minister of Koguryo
Posted by: Chongde -- 3:33 AM EST

Royal Minister Aamin, in socks and a robe, stands with the reporter on the Koguryo Palace steps early in the morning as the two wait on the incoming storm.

The news came as a demure message early in the morning, that Koguryo is welcoming a new Royal Minister, with Aamin succeeding Tamo in the position. He and the reporter sat on the steps of the palace, knowing the day would be full of excitement once the nightly storms arose. But to kill some time, some questions were asked about Aamin's thoughts on his appointment.

Good morning, Royal Minister Aamin. Have you gotten used to that one, yet? What is going through your mind?

Thank you for asking. Being addressed as "Royal Minister" is indeed an honor, and I am still getting used to the title and responsibility it carries. What is going through my mind is a mix of excitement and determination. I am eager to get started on the various events that will benefit Koguryo.

What sort of events are being considered for that task?
The most urgent event is the upcoming Defender Ceremony, followed by the Haean Festival later on. Those are the major upcoming events, but we host many smaller events each month.

Do you anticipate the ministry seeing any major changes soon?
Both prior Royal Ministers, KoiMermaiden and Tamo, have done an outstanding job of laying a solid foundation for the Ministry. Their efforts have set us on a strong path, and I am committed to building upon their achievements.

What sort of people are you looking to employ in the Koguryo Royal Ministry?

We are looking to employ individuals who embody a blend of dedication, expertise, and a passion for serving Koguryo. We have a solid team at the moment, but are always looking for those interested.

What do you believe makes Koguryo an attractive kingdom to be a part of?

Koguryo is an attractive kingdom due to its rich cultural heritage, visionary leadership, and vibrant community life. Koguryo provides an environment where cultural traditions are celebrated, and both personal and professional growth is nurtured.

Do you have any messages you'd like to relay to the kingdoms, about this new appointment, or anything else on your mind?

As I step into the role of Prime Minister, I am honored to build on the strong foundation set by Tamo and Koi. I am committed to aligning our policies with King Mhul's vision, and addressing the needs of all Koguryans. To our citizens, I promise to work tirelessly to preserve our heritage. To our neighbors, Buya and Nagnang, I look forward to fostering cooperation and mutual prosperity. Together, we build a brighter Koguryo.

Sounds good to me. Thanks for meeting with me this early morning, and good luck.
