New Communication Channels

Earlier, Halon posted on Community regarding two new methods of communication. The /tutors channel has been created to ask for help directly from tutors, and the /justice channel has been created to ask for justice help from judges/archons.

Nexus offers four channels of communication to help players with issues they might be encountering. Please read carefully how to use each.
/Tutors channel
If you require the assistance of a tutor with information about your path, spells or a quest, please reach out to a tutor by using the /tutors channel. When messaging to the tutor channel please be concise and straight to the point, directly expressing what is your question. This will help them address your questions faster.
/Novice channel
This channel is available to characters with lower levels to help each other with hunting groups, quests, information, and other demands that help with learning how to adapt to the world of Nexus faster. This channel is also monitored by tutors who may provide with assistance to the novice characters and new players.
/Justice Channel
If you are witnessing a justice issue that requires immediate attention of a judge or archon you may send a message to /justice channel.
When messaging to the report channel please be concise and straight to the point, directly expressing what is the issue. This will help get your concern addressed faster. This is a channel only for justice issues, not for other assistance you may need from archons.
If the issue has recently occurred but is no longer happening the best way to report it to bring it to the justice board.
/Report channel
This channel is exclusively used to report bugs or situations that may be hindering your game play and would need immediate assistance of Archons or GMs. This channel is not to be used for justice issues, please use the /justice channel instead.
Be succinct when using this, go straight to the point that is causing issue. This isn't a chat. Do not use this ask if Immortals are around. Using report to ask if archons are around will not help you get a response. If it is not urgent, contact the Immortals through mail instead.

New Merchant Elder
|
Tonight the Merchant Guild saw new leadership as Elder was passed from TaiPatron to everclear. This is everclear's third time as Merchant Elder. When asked about his hopes for the Merchant Guild he had this to say:
"Myself, as well as the entire Merchant Guild, are incredibly thankful for TaiPatron's leadership during his tenure as our elder. I am very fortunate to be inheriting this role at a time when I feel the Guild is experiencing renewed peace and prosperity thanks in large part to his guidance and efforts.
It's a privilege and honor to serve the Merchants in this capacity once again. My goal is simply to continue our upward trajectory via enabling our membership as best I can to act out our Three Sacred Duties - Duty to Self, Duty to Path, and Duty to Community."

New Alizarin Primogen

Last Tuesday, the Alizarin Clan underwent a leadership shift in Nagnang. After 10 years of service, Primogen Ataraxic decided to step down and appointed Barter to be the new head of the clan. Barter is a very experienced citizen and a well-known Guide of the Merchants Guild. He also happens to be one of our own content editors here in Nexus Atlas.
"It's not every day that we are given the opportunity to serve in the capacity where we can make a difference to something we genuinely care about. I will do my best to serve the Alizarin Clan with the confidence Ataraxic has bestowed in me. I will continue to seek knowledge and thwart the advances of the Unseen, with the great people of Alizarin Clan at my side", said Barter.
Nexus Atlas congratulates Primogen Barter in his newest position and thanks Ataraxic for his service to the Alizarin clan and the Nexus community overall.

Nagnang's Debutante Ball

Last weekend (Saturday 4/11) Nagnang opened its palace's doors to host a Debutante Ball for their Princess Sutsang. The event was organized and put on by the Eternal Order of Nagnang led by Sage Aquariuss. The ball invited those from all over the Kingdoms to celebrate Princess Sutsang and see her mingle with the citizens and Royals from near and far.
The evening started out with everyone arriving to a well supplied table of foods and drinks as conversation flowed throughout the early evening. King ChaeRi oversaw the guest arrivals with his daughter Princess Sutsang, welcoming the twin princes of Kugnae, Mobon and MingJung. With all involved the conversations flowed from how it was living as Royal children to old friends reconnecting from across the Kingdoms.
As the evening progressed a game of musical chairs was had and led by Sage Aquariuss. With guest singer Diviner Sieo who helped to find when people should stop on their seats or keep dancing to the beats! MesoCute ended as the final sitter!
After this fun game the evening moved to a game of OMGNMP lead by Cardboard to keep the festivities going. With a long line of participants the competition was fierce as Princess Sutsang watched the fun.
As the night wound down Sage Aquariuss gave her thanks to all those who came out and a round of applause rung out. It was certainly a fun evening and hopefully Princess Sutsang was able to have some great conversations with all who attended!

Viper Clan Disbands itself
|
This morning the Kingdoms awoke to shocking news as the Viper Clan of Nagnang chose to disband itself. The decision was made by an unanimous vote conducted by the Council members of the clan who concluded it was in the best interest of their members and kingdom to close the clan in a honorable way instead of risking a forceful shut down in the future.
This choice came 10 days after GM Wony issued a public warning stating that clans that perpetually engage in grave offenses and continue to support bad behavior are at risk of disband. While he didn't mention Viper clan as the target of such notice, it was clear to most of the community which clan he was referring to.
An important part of Wony's notice was when he made clear that there were several active and positive members of the clan that are deeply appreciated as great contributors of our community. It was with that mindset that Zariel, a former primogen of the clan, stepped back up to her old role 5 days ago and led the Council through this difficult choice. Representing the voice of many, Zariel has prepared this statement to share:
"Over the past several months, Viper was involved in a series of incidents leading ultimately to today. With heavy hearts we made the very difficult decision to voluntarily disband the clan through a unanimous council vote and move onto new horizons with our heads held high. To those waking up without the Viper home, we are sorry that we were not able to tell you before this happened. The decision was only finalized recently and executed in full before we had a chance to make an official statement to the clan and community. Know that Viper will always be a part of our blood. Removing our clan does not remove our bond. We will always be here for one another - please do not lose touch.
At this point, the legacy of Viper is best left to history rather than a lifetime of scrutiny. It is our choice to walk away as the strongest clan in the lands and one of the most active clans in Nagnang. Myself and many others have a lifetime of memories from Viper that we'll carry with us into the next chapter of our lives. I want to say thank you to everyone who was in Viper, or has been over the years. Thank you for all you have done.

Where the Clan Garden once stood an "empty cave" can now be found in Nagnang, similar, albeit rougher, to the vacant clan garden in Buya that stands where the Elendhirin Clan stood.
Love them or hate them, there is no denying the impact that Viper Clan made on everyone in the lands and the giant hole that is left with their departure. To those affected, best of luck in finding your new homes. Also, may the warning of Wony serve as alert to other clans about the importance of being responsible with the actions of your members.

Easter Event Walkthrough

It's that time of the year to go egg hunting again. In this year's event you won't be helping Tokki the egg collector, instead you'll help Nabihye, the itinerant scholar from Paekjae who came to study the butterflies phenomenon during the Valentine's day event of Hyul 101 ((Feb 2019)). It seems she came to study another animal spawning phenomenon unique to our kingdoms: the mysterious rabbits and the colored eggs they keep hiding around.
To start the Easter event quest, go to Nagnang north gate and walk between the statues nearby to enter the Memory garden.
1. Once inside you'll find Nabihye with a new hair style and a bunny themed headband. It seems she has setup some sort of camp there.
When you talk with Nabihye she'll ask your help to collect mysterious eggs for her study. According to her, the kingdom of Paekjae has been fighting a dangerous plague lately and they've been trying to find possible treatments for those who fall ill. She mentions how Paekjae doesn't have Druids and that their local Shamans are overrun with the number of patients. She brings up how the mysterious eggs some impressive healing powers and therefore she's collecting hundreds of them in hope to find some that can help with Paekjae's situation.
2. It's time then to go collect some mysterious eggs. You may find some laying around Kugnae, Buya, Nagnang, Wilderness, Tangun or Mythic Nexus, but the easiest way is to grab them from the Mysterious rabbits spread around the kingdoms.
 
3. Once you collect 20 go back and talk with Nabihye again.
You'll obtain a small karma boost. She'll then ask you to bring 50 more. Back to egg hunting!
4. With a full stack of 50 mysterious eggs go back to talk with Nabihye. She'll give you a White lily. Using this gives an experience boost, so it might be a good idea to wait until you're in your totem time to use it. She'll thank you and ask for 50 more.
 
5. When you get the final 50 out of 120 total go back and talk with her. She'll take them and grant you a new legend mark and a temporary Easter reward. For most people the reward is a self-rez spell called 'Easter revival'. For the Monks and Hyun Moo poets they get 'Easter Orb of Sul Slash'.
  
There's an option for subpathless Poets, Druids, and Muses to swap their easter revival spell and get the orb of Sul Slash instead. To do that, they must say 'swap reward' to Nabihye.
If you get Easter revival or Orb of Sul Slash, remember to enjoy these rewards while they last. It's not known if White lily is a temporary item too, so might be a good idea to use them soon.

Server Reset - Easter Event Begins!

This morning the annual eggs hit the Kingdoms! As usual you can find eggs hidden all around the kingdoms as well as the bunnies that drop mysterious eggs, which in the past have been used towards Tokki's quests. We'll see what exactly they bring this time!
To start the event head to the Memory Gardens of Nagnang (34, 24 Nagnang) and talk with Nabihye. She'll ask you to collect 20 mysterious eggs, then 50 eggs then 50 again. You'll need a total of 120.

New Primogen takes Oceana helm
|
At a monthly clan meeting held over this past Saturday, the role of Primogen of Oceana was passed from Visionary IcePixy into the hands of Visionary Corporal. Primarch was also passed from Emissary Stormin to Luminary GooMiho. This shift marked the end of the longest Primogen term in the clan, which lasted for 2 and a half years. Corporal now ascends as the 17th person to occupy the role of leading Oceana.
Here are a few words Primogen Corporal had to say in thanks to IcePixy and about his upcoming aspirations:
"Icepixy's great service as Primogen for 21 Hyuls ended honorably. Our achievements during her term included the intervention against the attacks of the Deathbane Pirates led by Captain ChenLee, bringing peace to Gogoon island, the inauguration of Oceana's own battleship named 'The Convoyer', and the humanitarian relief mission for Bulkkoch kingdom with KRA showed Kingdoms why Oceana is existing in this land.
I will inherit her spirit and continue to act and pass down customs and courtesies. I pledge to serve our members as Primogen of Oceana today. It doesn't mean that I am taking the ownership of the clan, it means I'll be its main servant now. With the help of our new Primarch and our qualified Council, I'm responsible to lead them to continue making Oceana clan a better place for our members and those around us. I will create opportunities and explore new resources. I'll keep vigilant to ensure Oceana continues to be a clan free of toxic behavior as it has always strived to be. Here in Oceana, we value friendship, cooperation, and honest achievements and that's how we continue to stand out among the community as one of the largest and most active clans in the kingdoms."

Walsuk is distributing face masks

With a recently declared state of pandemic and authorities all over the world coming up with extending social distancing guidelines, many people are still unaware of what to do to protect themselves.
Taking a step forward, after the cases of coronavirus continues to skyrocket, Kru introduced today a new way to remind the Nexus community of the best way to protect themselves: face masks.
To get yours you'll need to grab 5 pieces of Seaweed to sanitize your hands then just go to Walsuk and say "Face mask".
She'll give you a face accessory that doesn't have any stats but is a good reminder to protect yourself.
 
April 2nd Edit: This obviously was Nexus Atlas' April's fools news for this year but serves as a good reminder for everyone about two things:
1st - Wear face mask and hand sanitizer
2nd - Do not fall for crazy things people say, listen to the experts and the experts only.
