Today's reset brought Wisdom star back and more!

The winter's wisdom star is back and this year it will go from today until 31st, as it has been broadcast at Dream weaver's board. As usual the Vortex bosses have been scared off during these period only.
There's also a new room located beneath Kugnae Palace, accessible from the Palace treasury room, just behind the kogurian royal thrones. The room is called "Palace Monster keep". Check our what GM Stein said about such release:

Check out some of the exotic monsters that have been captured and brought back to the kingdoms. In recent days the monsters have become more restless. Rumors have it that a shift is occurring. Saving the little pirate girl

 | Ophelia is finally saved! With the help our many brave citizens, Noxhil and his friend Lucretius Laframbois managed to go on an expedition through Alt Kugnae where they met with Earthworker, who finally brought the soul and body of the little pirate girl back to one piece. This adventure through time-space dimensions ended up very well and without any hiccups. |
Those who participated in the expedition got a new unique legend mark.
Below is a detailed description of all what went on during the expedition through time cleft:
Lucretius and Noxhil arrived by the taverns around the scheduled time, 9:30pm est. They seemed surprised to see many people willing to help, but many were wondering how would he repeat the breech in time-space dimension of parallel worlds like King M'hul had accidently done when he swung the Sword of Phoenix and as the sword shattered into innumerable bits and pieces, the first other-dimensional portal was opened.
In order to repeat a similar effect, Noxhil revealed that during his research he found that the black amber had the power to control the effects of the other objects placed over it. Therefore, he expected it would work to contain the explosive effects of the phoenix ore they were going to use to reopen the cleft between the parallel realities.
Yet, TaekPae never came. He still refused to work with Phoenix ore again after being the main person responsible for causing the time cleft so he sent his cousin, Mananana, to take the remaining of the Phoenix ore that had not been shattered. Mananana seemed furious that the quest to save Ophelia had been ruining her diamond business since people began going there to ask about how to help her. Mananana then delivered the remains of phoenix ore that TaekPae didn't use in the process of forging that sword to King Mhul many hyuls ago.
 
During the process, some people protested against the reopening of the time cleft. Some thought it was too dangerous, others like BagofChips insisted it was pointless since they only had Ophelia's body, but not her anchor and soul. Lucretius explained then that he somehow grabbed the anchor on his way off the ship and said a woman brought it over there. During the conversation Lucretius spoke as if he didn't know Taeniuru or didn't recognize her at all, but during his interview for Nexus Atlas a month ago he clearly mentioned he met Taeniuru before and wasn't Noxhil who alerted us that Taeniuru took Ophelia's soul. Now, Lucretius acts as if he did not recognize Taeniuru. Either his age is giving him lack of memory, or he is hiding something very fishy.
After some talk about the events of the last days of the ship that were still very unclear, Noxhil and Lucretius began the magical ritual to open the cleft and release Ophelia's soul from the anchor. They used the fragment of Phoenix ore, together with Ophelia's anchor and black amber. The process took a while and they required help of SickChicken, as they saw he could be a strong man to smash the ore on top of the amber without breaking.
Once they finished a small portal opened which allowed brave adventures to cross dimensions into Alt Kugnae; the dark capital of a an alternate Koguryo ruled by Sagu, instead of Yuri. Upon reaching the area of Alt Kugnae inns, the expedition headed east, where a group called 'The Resistance" is based at. Matter to say, some of those freedom fighters are very cool and nice people, but this beyond the point.
There everyone met with Earthworker and Lucretius took some time to explain her why we needed her help to save Ophelia and why the little pirate girl needed to be saved, after all her doomed fate had been caused by us all. The iconic shaman agreed to help and said that she had just made a fresh batch of cohesive paste (same one used to do a similar process to Mhul in Hyul 49). Noxhil then dropped Ophelia's body next to Earthworker, who began to do her work with earth!
She then opened a container revealing an arcane glowing goo and then dropped some of her paste onto the girl's body and then onto her soul. After doing some shamanic spells, she managed to restore Ophelia's soul to her body. The little pirate girl has been saved!
 
After Ophelia was finally saved, most people went back to Alt Kugnae inns and crossed back to our dimension. Some people decided to stay behind and explore a little further the otherworld ruled by King Sagu and tried to help the Resistance gain more terrain to fight the oppression of the evil king.
While then, Lucretius and Noxhil stood around a bit more to chat with community. The old hermit revealed at some point during the conversation that the other day he saw Sally, the terrified girl from the ship, walking around Buya and that she was still very frightened. Other than that, the two elderly guys went to Bamboo tavern to have a tea with TheRighteous and there they chatted a bit further about what should be done with Ophelia and claimed that they needed to find someone to take care of her. Noxhil then suggested that “the prince from the south” (a.k.a. ChaeRi) had no children yet, so maybe he would want to adopt her. Shortly after they realized it would be safer for her if she were adopted by a more simple family rather than by a royal.
Before them trying to meddle in who should adopt Ophelia, the first thing they should worry about is if SHE wants to be adopted by another family or if someone wants to adopt someone who is a daughter of a dangerous Undead pirate. What shall be of Ophelia’s saga now? Only time will tell.

First public event of Buya's Prince

The Santa Mhul event of 2015 is over as of tonight and hopefully everyone who cares made their wakthrough the Holiday Workshop maze as many times as they wanted to get gifts from their favorite royals. This year the people of Buya had even a more happier occasion to celebrate the holidays as this was the first event that the young Prince Daeso came to participate.
For those of you who weren't able to see how the royal boy looks like here is the first public image of their heir of buyan throne.

Just head to the Holiday Lodge which is available to visit once again this year by clicking on the warrior guildmaster located at Mythic Nexus North gate just in front of HealerOfDoom.  Be a Secret Santa
The "Secret Santa" game can be played every hour where you can discretely distribute a gift to another. When walking in front of the christmas tree you receive a gift that belongs to another character ("Lodge Gift for someone") in the room and you have to give it to the player by facing him and using/clicking on the item. You can only give a gift once every hour. A receiver can only receive a gift once, 1 of 3 possible items: |  |

Where to get: by the study desk
To send Holiday grams just stand next to the writing desk. They can be dispatched to a person of your choice and when such person logs (or relogs) in the Nexus shall receive the Holiday telegram. When a person uses Holiday gram it casts a holy light moving around the body for a few minutes. |  |

Expedition to Alt Kugnae rescheduled

It seems that the expedition to Alt Kugnae was rescheduled to happen next tuesday (dec. 22nd) at 6:30pm PST/9:30pm EST. The gathering point is the same as announce before, just outside the Kugnae Taverns, nearby Walsuk's. Here's a copy of the post Noxhil placed on community board:

It looks like Taik Pae will be cooperating, with no small thanks to his cousin Mananana, who explained to him with great passion and force that he must provide us with a speck of phoenix ore. So, the adventure is back on!
So! For those that're brave and willing... Let us gather at the Kugnae Inns, in the eve of December 22nd at 9:30PM EST and see if our endeavors shall turn successful.

Shift at The Forsaken clan leadership

Yesterday Avathian announced that he would be stepping down from the leadership of The Forsaken and as his successor he appointed Belladonna to lead the clan once more. This is Belladonna's third term as Forsaken Primogen so she's quite used to the role already.

Queen Lasahn of Buya has recently published a formal congratulations to kogurian royals on the birth of their children. Here's a copy of her post at Chronicles of the Winds board:

I would like to formally congratulate both King Mhul and Queen Yun of Koguryo on the birth of your twin boys, Prince MingJung and Prince Mobon!
I know what greatness and joy a child can bring to anyone's life even in the darkest of times. So, though it might be hectic at times, I know the twins will bring you both a great deal of happiness.
May both of our kingdoms flourish during this happy times within both of our lands.

Client patch - Nexus Version 7.10

It had been a while since KRU had last patched Nexus client, last one was on February 2014. Today, the servers were reset to introduce Nexus client version 7.10.
This one comes now with great news that they have finally fixed the right click bug. In fact there's now two functions to the right clicking of the game. To understand it it's best if you read it from the Dreamweaver's explanation:
* The client has (finally!) been patched to add a toggle to the right click behavior in the game:
If you'd like to have the right click behave like it used to way back when where you could click on items and merchants from a distance, you can have it do that.
If you want to keep it how it has been for the last year and a half where that feature is ignored and your character will walk and ignore objects, you can do that too!
Or switch, depending on how you're feeling. Hit "Shift+r" to toggle the behavior of this feature.
*** If you are running a modern version of Windows, make sure to run NexusTK as administrator (by right clicking the shortcut and selecting the option) for this patch *** |
With this patch it's now possible to read boards from far distances again. For those of you who forgot how to do that all you need to do is to drop an item (like 1 penny) behind the board and then right click it.

New Ranger Elder

Yesterday evening the Elder of Rangers, Beastguy, has decided to step down from his position and appointed Xyreu to be the new leader of the subpath. Xyreu has been primogen of Tiger clan in the past, so has had experience with leadership positions before and hopefully will make him serve Rangers to the best way possible.
 
Congratulations Elder Xyreu and thank you Beastguy for your services to the Rangers and Nexus community overall.

Other dimension's expedition postponed

If you reach out the Kugnae Inns now in hopes to embark in an otherworldly adventure you may find the area empty. That's because couple hours ago Noxhil made a post at the community board postponing the voyage to Alt Kugnae due to the dangers of using the Phoenix ore again. Here is a copy of his post:

So it seems Taik Pae is rather reluctant to work with phoenix ore again. He has weighty reasons of course, but hopefully we can convince him in a few days time. So, for those that made plans to join us on tonight's voyage, I apologize. The adventure will have to wait and time will be announced here, just as soon as everything is ready.

Poetry Revels & Story Contests closed during holidays

As announced on the boards, since past monday the Revels Department has been on a Holiday vacation and during the period which goes from Dec.7th until Jan.2nd there will be no Poetry Revels or Story Contests competition. Throughout such interval, the Archons of Revels (Brunhilde and Latya) as well as Alilolelotte will continue to mark the winners of past Poetry Revels or Story contest winners who have not been marked yet.
On January 3rd Nexus Atlas will remind you about both competitions being available again and wish good luck to those on EE san trials!

The Winds of Winter

Yesterday evening a cold snowstorm have struck down the Kingdoms of Winds once more as the cities of Kugnae, Buya and Nagnang, as well as the Mythic Nexus are all covered in snow again and those strange unpleasant creatures have seemed to have lurked once more from the Winter Wonderlands!

At least these creatures brought along again some nice holiday clothing and items. In total 26 types of drops can be found from them, being them divided into santa's clothing, flavored candy canes, colored snowballs and the funny faced balloons. Check out all of what can be looted from them:

Can Worldwalker save Ophelia?

While this week has been about Koguryo rejoicing the birth of the Royal twins princes, Noxhil has been collecting ideas from the community about how to break the bond from Ophelia's soul to her Anchor of Binding. As it is known, Ophelia's anchor was retrieved after a battle with Taeniuru weeks ago which now allows the final step to save Ophelia to happen.

One of the most noticeable ideas about how to restore Ophelia's soul to her body was posted by Mazel on community board, the one which he reminds about the cohesive paste we used to help King M'hul when his body and soul where separated by Alt Kugnae's Mupa. This idea seems to have inspired Noxhil and Lucretius to venture into another dangerous endeavor. They want Taik Pae's help to reopen the portal to Alt Kugnae in hopes to find Worldwalker, who in that parallel reality, is called Earthworker.

Hello everyone!
Thank you for the ideas, Lucretius and myself looked through them all. Ophelia's soul was separated from her body in a ritual that bonded it onto a Mythical Anchor. This makes the situation that much more complex as now not only do we need to ultimately reunite her body and soul, but also break the charms of binding so the soul is free.
While there are different ways of going about it, the most simple of them would be to destroy the item that encapsulates the soul... Although souls are fragile and delicate, it's the one thing that's absolutely indestructible. When we pass on, our bodies deteriorate and eventually become one with the earth again, however our souls move on in their ephemeral state and glide along the path that's been charted in the stars. So, if we destroy the Anchor of Binding, Ophelia's soul will be released. I have to see if Elder of Shaman has a nice trick up her sleeve to make sure soul is kept properly once it is free and until our venture.
Mazel's posting reminded me of a woman I knew long ago, a great shaman of our lands. Her name was Worldwalker. And the reason why I was reminded of her is because in that other Kugnae, I've met her counterpart... Only there she is known as Earthworker. She's working day and night uniting bodies and souls of those less fortunate whose fate is to live in that world. She is the one we want to seek out and ask for help.
Troublesome part is that to get there is not so easy. Last time portal was opened by accident; it happened when Taik Pae presented King Mhul with a sword made of Phoenix ore. Guardians of the Elements warned us that use of this ore may lead to disruption of balance and thus dire consequences. And that's exactly what happened. King Mhul waved Sword of Phoenix in the air and ground shook, skies grew dark as our world was engulfed by chaos. When people awakened, a gap appeared between our reality and that other, parallel one.
So, let us hope that Taik Pae still has some of that forbidden ore hidden somewhere... Knowing him, he probably does. Perhaps using it differently will not lead to the same dire consequences and allow a smaller, shorter passageway into the other realm.
Since no one knows what will happen and what to expect of such a risky endeavor, I hope that some brave souls will join us and lend their assistance with whatever comes our way.

First glimpse at the Royal Princes

Last weekend it marked the birth of the Koguryo heirs, the twin brothers MingJung and Mobon. Some people were able to visit the Palace's royal bedroom where will be the room of the babies, but for those of you who didn't have the opportunity to take a first look at how the kogurian baby royals look like, here's a chance for a first glance:
As you may see, the one on the left is Prince MingJung and one on right is Prince Mobon. Both were born healthy and shall have 24/7 protection available to them.

Twin Princes of Koguryo

A surprising news has echoed through Koguryo tonight as Prime Minister Loxie announced that Queen Yun has given birth today to two healthy babies. That's right, Koguryo has now twin heirs! The boys were named Prince Mobon and Prince MingJung. Congratulations King M'hul and Queen Yun!
But tonight's surprise wasn't just about the birth of the boys, it seems that giving birth to twins was very difficult to the Queen and took a lot of her health. According to the Lady-in-Waiting Simiya, the Queen has only survived her ordeal thanks to the creature Suvola! What a strange twist of events, considering her master Taiisrhaa was blocked from getting close to Queen Yun due to being a Taal'yeein shape-shifter.

Trade Summit of the Winds

Today at 12pm starts The Trade Summit of the Winds an inter-kingdoms event brought by the Nagnang Ministry. As announced by Sieo Bijeon, Nagnang Sage (Minister), the purpose of this summit will be to establish trade routes between kingdoms and forge new bonds with each other as they move towards future.
Therefore, the leaders of Buya, Koguryo, Shilla, Han and every other kingdom as well as the lands of Kinung and Gogoon are invited to bring representative to such Trade Summit. Additionally, the Eternal Order invited all of the Clans and Subpaths of the lands as well.

Pirates are gone but Ophelia needs your help

Around four hours ago a huge storm hit Nexus and with it, departed the last of the remaining crew lead by the Undead Captain. It seems Noxhil and Lucretius managed to escape with Ophelia's hollow body. Here's a copy of the official announcement of such happening as posted on Whispering Winds:
The Undead Pirates disappeared behind the horizon and the Kingdoms are safe once again. Big thanks to everyone that worked hard to protect our lands!

Since our ever industrious Lucretius was able to scoop up Ophelia before Pirates took their departure, all that's needed is to figure out how or who could mend body and soul together... It is confirmed then that Lucretius Laframbois did in fact retrieve Ophelia's soul which had been stolen by Taeniuru. Therefore, now her life is about to be saved, but seems Noxhil and Lucretius still need your help. Here's a copy of a post made by Noxhil on community board:
Hello there friendly folks!
We've got some good news and some bad news...
Since it is customary to give good news first...
Here's what's good -
Your repeated attacks greatly weakened the pirate crew (big thank you on that!). Under veil of the resulted chaos Lucretius was able to steal away Ophelia's body and ... (even greater news!) her soul, which was brought there for safe-keeping a few days ago by a decidedly mean woman wearing a black flowing dress! It appeared that this resolute-looking lass was angry at someone and requested that Captain sets sails at once to an undisclosed location where this soul was to be taken to. ... I find it tremendously lucky that a) the treasury room is so disorganized that Lucretius was able to hide there without being detected and b) I've never felt stronger the will of Fate than the moment when Ophelia's soul ended up right there within his very grasp.
That was rather lucky. However...putting body
and soul one next to another does not make
Ophelia whole... And that's the tragedy of
it all. If only there was a way to bring body
and soul together and make it whole again, but
who would be skilled enough to perform such a
complicated ritual... Mr. Laframbois and myself
are putting our heads together on this one...
Mother Shaman does not think anyone here has
this particular set of skills... So,
if you have any ideas, then speak up!

Therefore they are calling for community's help to bound Ophelia's soul back to her body which pretty much would require to find a way to undo the effects of the anchor of binding which allowed Ophelia's soul to be captured in first place.
Some people like already started sharing their suggestions on community board:
BagofChips reminded them of the East Dragon Rune that was in the Captain's treasury room and which allowed a dead soul to regain life with a Dragon's breath, similar to Hyun Moo's self-ressurection.
Mazel reminded them of the cohesive paste used during the events of Alt Kugnae at Hyul 49 ((july 2012)) when community joined forces to restore the soul and body of King M'hul.
YogSim mentioned that Shamans could help with this task. Although Noxhil mentioned Mother Shaman said no one here has this particular set of skills yet.

While then a question popups up. Noxhil's home is empty, so where could they have taken Ophelia's body. A hidden door has been found behind the bookcases, I tried to peek inside but was too dark to see anything and seemed like magical forces blocked me from entering.
Could there be a secret chamber inside Noxhil's home?
