Rings and Tribes for real this time
Posted by: Vini -- 8:10 PM EST

As taken from the Dream Weavers board and also the Nexus Official website, the rings and Tribes were re-released today, now, officially available for citizens to experiment.
Here's a copy of the details of it:

  • >Rings and Tribes!

A new feature allowing citizens to form rings and tribes has been added with the last reset. Rings and tribes allow people to form a guild with their friends or even begin the process to becoming an official clan.

A ring can be forged with 10 people and 500,000 coins which has limited clan functions to help it grow. When the ring grows in size to 50 people it can be upgraded to a tribe which includes even more expanded clan functions. When the tribe has 100 members it can apply for official clan status with the appropriate kingdom tribunal.

Wilderness tribes cannot ever be turned into official clans due to the fact that there is no wilderness tribunal. Whether you're starting the next official clan or simply getting a group of your friends together, see Rotah in the wilderness to forge your ring!

More information about rings and tribes soon to come!

  • The revival of the Tree of Reflections!
Posted by: Vini -- 8:08 PM EST

Taken from Dreams Weaver board and posted also on nexus official website:

  • Mupa's dark forest has been torn down...

I stand amongst the threshold of the dark cave, you can't help but notice the groups of adventurers resting outside. Faces covered with dirt and sweat, their armor resembling the dark wood that now dots the cave within. Shining wooden and grass colored relics grace their clothing, and it seems that the threat has been nullified for now.

"Mupa's dark forest has been torn down, and not a walking tree is left in sight! The time is soon at hand for me to plant the Heart of Reflection. In doing so the spell Yieta and Mupa had cast upon the land will be broken! Without the help of the community, this would not have been possible...we all should be grateful for the great feats that have transpired!" the HaggardWitch could be seen stating to the onlookers.

I watch the sun begin to set beyond Dae Shore, the cries that once echoed throughout the cave has since been replaced by the scuffling of the feet belonging to the departing adventurers.

"Everyone that wishes to come, should prepare for the planting within the next few evenings!" she told those that continued to walk past. She seems to be more light-hearted than usual! I know I was after such a long battle. I gathered my newly found items and headed for home. I will need rest so that I will be able to attend such a grand event!

((Join us on Thursday, June 1st as we gather for the revival of the Tree of Reflections! It will begin at 6:30 PM PST/9:30 PM EST.))

The imprisioned Triiofa no longer are trapped inside the cave south of the tree of reflections. Would this mean the defeat of Mupa and Yieta or those evil witches still have more plans against our kingdoms soon to be revealed? Only time will tell.

    The cell is now empty!

  • Haengsa and other news
Posted by: AllyGator -- 8:08 PM EST

A new NPC has appeared next to Buya's Warrior Guild. He says:

"Hello, I am Haengsa. I am here to offer you a monthly challenge. Should you meet the challenge of the month I will reward you with my very own Haengsa tokens. These tokens, once you have enough, can be turned in for great rewards. Some challenges will be simple and other will be very difficult. I will award tokens on the amount of how simple or difficult the quest will be. Please come back and visit me soon and I will have a challenge for you."

    Haengsa is Korean for "event".

The lastest reset brought several changes including a drastic reduction in the repair and deposit costs of the new event items. It now costs from 500 coins to deposit level 50 items to 2500 coins for sam items. It costs less than 200 coins to repair 1% damage to a 99 level item. A very welcome change which means we can now afford to use them.

    Server reset changes
Posted by: Vini -- 8:06 PM EST

As posted on Nexus Official website and also on Dream Weavers board:

  • Server reset May 31, 2006

Posted by: AllyGator -- 12:21 AM EST

For your exploring pleasure, have a look at the Woodlands Map.

The release of this map marks the conclusion of the Maps Project which was begun the week the Vortex was released, June 2003. It's been a long haul but 100% of the kingdoms have been mapped for your use. If you should find an area that is missing, please send me a PM on the NexusForums. The maps for the Staff of the Elements are being done but is not part of this project.

I may, or may not, update the Version 5 maps with Version 6 graphics. If the old versions are updated, I will post the new releases. It's been a fun project for me and I hope a benefit to you all.

    Triiofa Event History Page
Posted by: AllyGator -- 5:44 AM EST

There has long been a wish that our history be recorded. In the past NexusAtlas made maps of the event areas. Events in the past few years did not last long enough to make maps and many times the events were so fast that it was difficult (if not impossible) to attend all of the pre-event meetings. The Triiofa event has allowed us plenty of time to see and learn what was going on. So in accordance with the wishes posted on our Forums board we present what will become part of our history archives.

    The Lines Have Been Drawn!
Posted by: AllyGator -- 1:53 AM EST

Mupa and HaggardWitch have made their statements for all to see within the Chronicles of the Winds.

82nd Year of the Rat's Reign:

It has been such a long time since I last walked freely upon the soil in these lands. My plans foiled, and forced out of the city and surrounding regions...

My lover fought back, in my honor! He sought revenge against his brother, "King" Yuri. But he was taken down by his own magic, that had turned on it's master.

I will not make that mistake again, he wasn't ready to wield such magic! He just rushed into it, for his love! If only I had slain M'hul and that lover, Yun. The city wouldn't have lasted long after that, hahaha! My current apprentice has a weak magic, but
    deceptive she can be.

But that failure is in the past, and I warn you - citizens of Koguryo, you will fall. Your hearts will turn to stone, and the dark forces will prevail. I hold allegiances to none, and I pray that in time your necks will be crushed by my lovely children.

Do not offer me your services, peasants. No one will have my trust.

I've angered the people of the lands -- it does nothing to me, you will all perish the same. How you imprisoned my lover within the onyx then it was shattered. They will now simply remind me of Sagu, and his struggles.

Ahh, how they grow...the beautiful gems sparkle as they slide down their mouth and into their belly. The energy coursing through their bodies, nourishing them.

My apprentice failed, but she will not fail me again - she will hold that promise, or her death will come swiftly. She knows this well.

Those whose hearts have turned to stone.
Each one has a self unseen.
    Through netherworlds and menagerie,
One sees the hate they've been.
One by the bed is nothing but a rat with a face,
or an old sly fox with a tail for each century of vice.
One by the fire is a dragon disgraced.
One who has died a thousand times, is a wyrm to be
    Sluggishness makes one cruel,
Dabbling in magic is a sign of a poisoned vein or evil eye,
To preside over the death of men is to be the most violet of wyrms.

Stand against me, once more citizens of Koguryo! Stand against me, surrounding cities and empires...and you will taste your own blood.

I cannot wait until this little board is torn down, and becomes charred like the building housing it.

    M e m o r y O f S a g u

    To the Community,

The days since I once again stepped foot within the Kingdom of Koguryo have passed by so swiftly. The darkness slowly spills out from the earth and the scenes in the visions and dreams that the Elders had all recieved have come to be.

Years ago, I wandered through the cities handing out ghastly staves in a good gesture towards the festivities that I noticed everyone partaking in. They were foreign to
me, but I joined you and came and went. When the time came for me to return, it was for a different reason -- one that troubled me greatly.

I have been a friend of the stewards of the forest, the Triiofa, for many years. I have known them all since birth, as the first one was created and blessed with the name Tongnamu. The Forest Wizard would be proud to see how they have acted in recent months, although he would be saddened to hear of their plight at the hands of that painter Yieta.

The pieces of her painting are coming together, and now her teacher has risen to add more blood to the mix. I have heard of Mupa's actions, though I couldn't believe that she had been the cause of the horror spreading across the lands beyond our own in these past many years. For so long she's been feeding off her anger and seeking revenge, but I pray that the community that so valiantly sought to aid the Triiofa will undoubtedly beat her back.

But what of the Triiofa, who are still under the illusions that Yieta had painted? The seal on the barrier in front of them is stronger than I had ever imagined it would be,
but I have stayed many days and nights within the cave seeking a way to break through... to free the Triiofa so that they may return to the life they once lived.

I may be close to breaking that seal. But if there are no trees, I simply wonder what life the Triiofa could have... unless we find a way to bring them back.

The magic being used by the serpent witch Mupa are ancient, from before my time and I admit that I haven't seen the likes of them in many decades. I pray to the Gods of the
lands that my studies will aid me in this next endeavor, though the risk grows every day the cave remains open.

There is a dark anger growing within that cave, and the saplings continue about their days and grow.

Be ready for what is to come -- and stand strong!

    Mupa Strikes
Posted by: AllyGator -- 11:31 PM EST

The horror has begun with Mupa's strike tonight in the Vale. She was joyfully killing everything in sight until Yieta's supporters killed her. Look for more to come for as Yieta said in conclusion, "Mupa, it is complete. The children await you. And they've plenty of treats."

    Yieta Captured!
Posted by: Vini -- 5:23 AM EST

As it can be found in Kugnae Oubliette, the menacing sorcerer, Yieta, was captureed and can be seen by the public for now in the new an expanded royal prision. As posted by General Nykid of Koguryo Royal army in the Chronicles of the Winds, the sorcerer will be investigated by the Koguryo Spy Guild as the first act of the new alliance between KSG and KRA:

  • Dear Citizens,

I would like to personally thank the community for their aid in capturing Yieta. Through Prince Mhul's wisdom, he suggested a theory that if we dilute Yieta's paints, we can in turn dilute her power. After surrounding her and drenching her paints in water, her power slowly began to fade. The community effectivly chased down her every move until her eventual capture. The Triiofa surrounded Yieta, shattering her brush to pieces.

She is currently being held in the Palace Prison, located on the eastern side of the Palace Courtyard. She is being watched by the Keeper, as well as a rotating guard from the Royal Army. Currently Yieta has lost conciousness and we await her awakening for further interrogation by the KSG.

Keep in mind, there are still many questions left unanswer. The captured Triiofa, our trees and the saplings still pose many questions. Although Yieta has been captured, the Royal Army is still wary of HaggardWitch, and will not lower its alert status.

Once again, the Royal Army would like to extend its greatest gratitude to the people of the Kingdoms and the wilderness for the aid in capturing Yieta.

    General Nykid
    Koguryo Royal Army

Seems that the evil ex-fiancee of Prince Kija is controlled now but now how can people help free the imprisioned Triiofas is the big question.

    Invitations to King Yuri's Ball
Posted by: AllyGator -- 9:38 PM EST

Word is quickly spreading about a ball King Yuri will soon be holding. So many have been invited that it is nearly impossible to get an invitation however we've heard of a way. Not exactly an honorable way. . .but what the heck! Are you going to miss the biggest dress up event of the decade? Just look at the crowds in Kugnae Palace trying to get on the list!

Hello, I am the organizer of this event. I am tasked with inviting the most important dignitaries from across the land. The guest list for this ball is full of nobility. It is my job to ensure that all guests are well taken care of.

What time does the Ball take place?
Oh! I'm glad you asked. The doors will open at ((5pm PST, Wednesday May 19th)). Any guests with an invitation will be announced and allowed into the grand ball rooms at that time.

Who will be attending the Ball?
We've sent out invitations to every corner of the world! The guest list is brimming with the most important names I've ever seen! We have ambassadors from Han, Generals and Officers of the Royal Army, Famous swordsman and deulists, Dignitaries and Nobles from each county. This will be a splendid event!

Where can I find attire for the Ball?
This is such a special occasion! The king wants all of his guests to be dressed according to etiquette. The king has made the services of his personal seamstress available to all invited guests. She has set up a showroom outside, in the courtyard.

How can I get on the guest list?
*AHEM* (very loudly) "I'm very sorry, but the guest list is full!" (He then pulls you closer and whispers..) The guest list is very full. But.. Perhaps I could add an extra name if I had some more.. ..paper..

Are you asking for a bribe?
What!? A bribe!? No! Of course not! I just need more paper to write on. Thats all. (He winks at you.) I need some very special paper. The same kind of paper used by the bankers use to write 100,000 gold banknotes. Bring me a couple pieces of that special paper and I will see what I can do about getting you on the guest list.

    ~ Purchase two 100,000 check from a messenger's shop and return ~

Ah, here it is. Here is your invitation. It will allow entry for you and one guest. I hope you enjoy the Ball.

    Qa Triiofa!
Posted by: Conro -- 11:11 PM EST

Darkness loomed in the skies above Koguryo as the Triiofa once again gathered at the cave just below the stump of the Tree of Reflections.

Out of the Darkness itself, a woman by no other name but HaggardWitch immerged, with a satchel of seeds at her side.
This Witch spoke the language of the Triiofa as if she had been risen along side of them, and quickly helped many master small pieces of the language, in order to better understand the Triiofa's plight.
Hearing this information, and possible history in the making, Historian Quantao appeared, sitting along side of the Triiofa.

With just a sprikle of a few pumpkin seeds, HaggardWitch gave light back to the skies over Kugnae, allowing everyone to see an odd glow about the cave the Triiofa mention the word 'beot'.

HaggardWitch quickly portaled twords the cave, bringing with her the Historian, and the four creatures alongside her.

With the Wind at her side, she began to chant of the Earth, the Wind, the Air, and Life itself, instantly breaking the seal the Triiofa easily pierced.

Interested Citizens of all walks of life entered the Cave, only to find a dead land, with a cell filled of Triiofa, pacing confused, none of which could speak. Those brave enough to venture further saw tiny saplings, with humaniod characteristics to them.

HaggardWitch accompanied these men and women, along the way speaking of feeling the presence of 'Yeita', to which the Triiofa chanted 'Beot'.

At this time, the 'Forest of Punishment' is the final area any man can step apoun, and it is unsure as of yet if we can progress.

HaggardWitch has given a call to all Citzens to study the Triiofa, Yeita, and this cave, and share what information they can to free the imprisoned Triiofa.

HaggardWitch shared information with us about the language of the Triiofa, and the Triiofa themselves. We are told the Triiofa are not 'Strange Things' created by Thane, but rather Thane mimiced the 'design' the Triiofa's master gave to them.
The Triiofa are creatures of the land which devour dead trees, and help plant and spark the life of new ones.

A quick reference to the language of the Triiofa

    Rixuan - Forest
    Qa - Help
    Unn - Yes
    Trii - Tree
Triiofa - Translated to 'Tree Life', or living tree. These are what the 'Strange Things' not built by Thane are.
    Beot - Evil
