Stop ATA? Perhaps not.
Posted by: Vini -- 11:10 PM EST

Within the past weeks, a simple trade agreement between clans began to stir some serious confusion and spurred some radicals to even talk about war.

It alll started when Phoenix Clan of Buya and Silla Clan of Nagnang announced they would be implementing the ATA, Alliance Trade Agreement, which was created in hopes to grow a strong trade route amoungst the two clans. The document signed by both clans stated that opening trade routes with other clans of opposite kingdom would void the code and result in a fine of 1 million coins.

All seemed like a fine negotiation between the two clans, but other Nagnang clans were not happy to hear about Silla negotiating with foreigner clans without consulting the Nagnang clan tribunal before. They felt such agreement would put the kingdom in danger, with hidden possibilities of Buya bringing troops into Nagnang, which certainly wasn't mentioned at the ATA, but surely worried a few people. Some extremists started beating drums of war and the simple trade agreement grew into bigger proportions.
The situation only calmed down when Buya and Nagnang authorities intervened.

Buya Minister NyteBeauti made an official statement that Buyan Officials were in no way looking to start, push or instigate war, with Nagnang, or any other nation. Prince ChaeRi of Nagnang made a public post explaining that such agreement was not illegal by the government eyes:

Unless they impact Nagnang as a whole all trade agreements between good standing clans are at their own discretion as long as they are with non-hostile kingdoms and does not violate the other kingdom's trade laws. This is a common right of all our clans and is not a concern of the Nagnang Tribunal.

Exceptions would include but not be limited to:
1) Damaging the Nagnang economy in some unforeseen manner.
2) Breaking any prior Kingdom-wide pact in place by their trade agreement
3) Affecting another clan or organization in a negative manner.

Although Prince ChaeRi seemed fine with the trade agreement, he asked that all complaints of similar sorts should be brought straight to him. Buya Ministry in other hands would have prefered to have both royals and Generals in agreement of such trades before seeing them signed.

With the uncomfortable situation now appearantly solved, recently the Phoenix clan has announced another trade agreement, now with the Tiger clan of Koguryo.
