Nagnang Royal Patrol
Posted by: AkiKan -- 8:37 PM EST

It seems the community is showing increase commotion towards cultural events. As of this evening the kingdoms were startled by a massive force of Cavalry riding from Nagnang Palace steps.

The earth itself trembled as they passed by the gates of Nagnang, the area of Southern Koguryo and Buyan Islets. Their number was so great the citizens feared it was an invading force.

The Nagnang Royal Patrol lead by Pegasus Raid Elder Raekhoh rode throughout nagen borders along side with the Nagnang's new Prince-Regent ChaeRi. The brother of Kija joined himself the patrol to support his regency as they ventured deep within the borders of the other kingdoms.

Even finding some concerned faces from the Buyan Imperial Army as they passed by Islets.

Although Nagnang has no army to defend itself in the present, it seems the potential for such force is unmatched by any other northern nation.

New Law: Sage Removal
Posted by: Musoyen -- 8:09 PM EST

Today, Maiyu posted an updated version of the sage law. As of today you are no longer allowed to sage your comments regarding both the Item Shop or mug unless they are positive comments. This law is so broad that going so far as to even saying "mug made a crappy event" or "Item shop sucks..they removed so and so" could be borderline abuse of this law and warrant removal of your sage -- forcing you to beg for it back VIA the ticket system. If you wish to speak your mind, or make your concerns known regarding the Item Shop or mug you can do so by sending an nmail to the archon of your choice. But, considering many of them do not respond to nmails, your opinion or complaint will most likely be silent to the public and fall deaf upon the ears of those who do not care.

While KRU respects the opinions of its patrons, there are instances where players feel they have the right to insult and disrespect the GM and game extensions (Item shop) over Sage broadcasts. This is no longer tolerated.

While this warning does not affect the majority, a notice is being made public so that all patrons are equally aware of the consequences of broadcasting disrespectful remarks about KRU employees and game extensions.

Sage broadcasting was never intended to be an outlet for in-game complaints. There are specific channels you can voice your concerns: letter(s) to an archon or archon primogen/primarch.

---------------
First offense - 1 week removal of sage
Second offense - 2 weeks removal of sage
Third offense - 1 month removal of sage
Fourth offense - permanent removal of sage

N.B. Restoration of "Sage" will NOT be automatic. An offender must submit a ticket into Nexus Support with an apology to KRU within a month's time otherwise the patron forfeits their sage spell.

Welcome to North Korea NexusTK: Kingdom of the Winds.

*facepalm*

Please congratulate Yappy on becoming the new Head Tutor!

KoyaSoto stepped down today after being Head Tutor for many months. KoyaSoto was the second person to ever become head tutor. In his place, KoyaSoto has selected Yappy to be his successor. Yappy has been a tutor for a long time, and now its time for him to show his colors at Head Tutor!

Thank you again, KoyaSoto, for all the hard work you did for the tutor program. Good luck Yappy! Thank you to LiWei for reporting this news.

Who's Mihi?
Posted by: Vini -- 12:40 AM EST

A strange woman appeared in the lands of Koguryo this Sunday. Wearing the newest wisdom clothes and carrying a Sa san Charm engraved **Hope**, the lady named Mihi appeared for a Poetry revels and actually won the best poetry reading during the event. After the Poetry revels announced the winners of this week’s contest, Mihi went to east gate Kugnae and had a nice chat with Cheyn, the mayor of Kinung. He asked her where she was staying and she explained that she would be at the inns. Cheyn invited Mihi to visit the town and Mihi sounded like she was excited about getting to visit it sometime.

Not much is known about this Mihi yet, but something indicates that she isn’t just any ordinary person.
Hopefully community will find more about it soon.

Special thanks to Taipatron for posting about this in Nexus forums and providing the images for it.

Archons in Mythic and Vale
Posted by: Vini -- 1:57 AM EST

After a few random sages, the immortals of nexus were spotted at Mythic south gate for random chat and fun with the community. Mug and 12 archons appeared to the community all of a sudden which surprised many. The whole “event” happened really fast. It started around 11pm EST Friday and lasted around twenty-thirty minutes. For about one minute, all of Mythic (except inside gates) started dancing, a few didn't even understand why their body started shaking the bones.

The main topic in debate was the changes to Tangun. Some people were against it and some were in favor of it. Mug tried to explain his decisions on it and the problems with having higher levels in Tangun caves.

After the short chat, the immortals all went to Vale where they had PK fun with dozens of citizens. A mother whale was summoned to attack citizens and took a while for people to take it down.

It was a fun impromptu event for a Friday night.

Nagnang Regency?
Posted by: Vini -- 11:32 AM EST

Last Friday night marked an open dispute between ChaeRi and Blight in Nagnang palace. It all started when ChaeRi scheduled a special tribunal for nangen Primogens to attend and talk about the present and future of the kingdom.

Upon hearing about such invitation, Blight and his men decided to pay a visit to ChaeRi and question his motives to come to Nagnang. The Sukayan commander expressed his wishes to more actively help overview the lands, because since his brother died, it has sort of been in ruins. He claimed to want to bring Nagnang to its former glory and wants to show other kingdoms that they’re strong and cannot be messed with. ChaeRi confessed having gone through the thoughts of becoming king, but explained that it wasn’t his intentions after much thinking. Serving Nagnang as a Regent was what he proposed. The nangen crowd and koguryian visitors seem to have approved the idea of having Kija’s brother as a Regent of Nagnang, but Blight’s men didn’t. Apuen and Sanghan have made death threats to ChaeRi but were stopped by Byeong and Chejungi.

Blight questioned the Sukayan warriors’ motives to want to become Regent and a clear dispute of power upraised at the courtyard of the grand hall. Members of The Forsaken clan stood by Blight’s side, while other nangens and foreigners supported ChaeRi. Most considered the Forsaken’s founder too authoritarian and questioned his abilities to protect the kingdom all by himself after the Mongol attacks. ChaeRi has even proposed cooperation between the two forces despite their political differences, but Blight did not accept that. After much thinking and discussion the barbarian asked his four followers if they think they could give ChaeRi a chance. They didn’t seem much happy about it, but seeing the crowd’s anxiety to have a new person to overview Nagnang, they realized they didn’t have much of an option.

A small crowd gathered to listen to ChaeRi's proposals. Blight and his men didn't seem happy about it.

When everything looked settled, Rubicant, the Primogen of K’urimja clan, came brought an important point to the discussion. The opinions of Forsaken people and Covenant members were clear that night, but other Nagnang clans had to express their voices as well. Although his opinion seemed towards ChaeRi’s regency, it seems they will just officialize it or not in next nangen tribunal on Thursday.
Good luck to Nagnang on whatever their political future reserves.

Nexus Patch
Posted by: Vini -- 10:19 AM EST

Mug has posted on community board to let citizens know that there will be a patch to Nexus released today and posted instructions to how proceed with the patch on the different OS available. Here's a copy of the instructions:

patching for vista/windows 7:

1) Locate NexusTK application
C:/program files/Kru/Nexustk/ by default
2) Right-click on executable "NexusTK" and select "properties"
3) Select "compatability" tab at the top
4) Check "Run this program as an administrator", press "ok".

patching for anything else:

When patching your Nexus client it is best to not run any programs in the background.

If you see a "Patch" folder inside the Nexon folder, delete it. Once that is deleted, try running the Nexus again and it should download the patch automatically.

If you do not see a "Patch" folder, we suggest that you download the New Client from our website to ensure you have the latest version. Uninstall any Nexus old client from your computer before you run the installation.

New Polar Bear Mount and more
Posted by: Kikoura -- 4:17 PM EST

With today's reset a new type of mount was released for the community through Kruna shop: Polar bears; available in 21 different colors.

Along with this new type of ride, here's a copy of the list posted in Dream Weavers board with every change to nexus after the servers reset:

Clan, Army & Ministry additions and fixes:
* Major updates for SunMoon
* Minor updates for Elendhirin
* Minor updates for Dharma
* Minor updates for Destiny
* Minor updates for Lost Kingdom

Subpath additions and fixes:
* Minor update for Geomancer
* Minor bug fix for Diviner Hsiao chu quest
* Minor update for Do

Other:
* Minor update for Kinung
* Minor text change for poet Sun quest so it is less confusing on what needs to be done in the first part. Many players would only read the first part of the quest then close out the box never reading the second pop up. It was also noted that many were using a walkthrough that was incorrect. That has also been fixed by the Nexus Atlas team.
* New polar bear mounts will be released in item shop today.
* Minor fix for Thane's Robot
* More major updates for the new area (sneak peak coming soon!)

New year Santa mug!
Posted by: AkiKan -- 1:33 AM EST

Posted by mug on Rambling Thoughts & Whispering Winds board.

New year Santa mug!

Santa mug begins:
Friday, 1/8/2010 at 6:00PM PST (9:00PM EST) (We will only keep this one open for one hour.)

You will be able to find Holly, Mistletoe and Frosty all around the Kugnae gates. This will only be available in Kugnae and will only last one hour!

I am doing this for the players who just came back in the New Year and for those who could not come during Christmas break. There will be no other day and no other time.

Gifts will be handed out once again, but only for a short while. ((Limit one per character)). Those who attempt to receive a second gift will be sent to the inns. Please be courteous to those who have not received a gift by granting them the opportunity to seize one. Once again, Happy Holidays to all and we look forward to continuing the season of gift giving!

((Please keep in mind it is limited to one gift per character and all gifts are random.))

Tribes/Rings Users List
Posted by: Vini -- 11:15 AM EST

  • Nexus Atlas not only has the users lists of clans, armies, subpaths, tutors, judges, carnage and fox host and the other regular ones which community was used to see in nexus official site, but we also provide a list of tribes and rings in a page linked from those.
    These days we have 37 tribes/rings listed there, but many are with activity so low that wouldn't be worth being there while others with much more active people aren't listed.

    Those who have tribes and rings that would like to have your users list included to Nexus Atlas rings & tribes list please submit the name of your tribe to me by nmail or to vini@nexusatlas.com.

    In the next few weeks I'll be removing from the list those which have none registered, or just 1 or 2. So if that's the case of anyone reading here, may be a good idea registering back to nexus, of course if that would mean anything to the person. For most, being listed here may not mean much anyway.

    ~Vini Normad'or~
    ~Hyul 29, Moon 2~

    P.S. An issue with news post time & hour was fixed. Readers won't think we post things 6am while we're posting many hours later.

    Rule Change: You may be a Kinung Councilor while holding another leadership position, but please be able to dedicate the necessary time to both.

    # Those whom have received banishment or bear a current (red) jailing (on any character or any account) are not eligible.
    # Applicants must be registered patrons.
    # This position is, of course, reserved for role-players. Councilors will provide role-play for Kinung as well as the Nexus in general, therefore we require that all applicants role-play.

    Should you have any inquiries, please contact
    Daejang or Soldaris.

    Please copy and paste the following questions and answer them all as best you can.

    All answers must be sent to Daejang and Soldaris.

    Question 1: Which character do you play the most and would like to be a part of the town? (Please keep in mind that only ONE character can be used, even if you have multiple accounts)

    Question 2: How many hours do you spend playing Nexus per week? Do you feel you will be able to devote enough time to this position to do a good job?

    Question 3: If you have had any in-game positions on your characters (ex. Subpath or Clan leader, Minister, Carnage host, Judge, Subpath Guide, Clan Council, Tutor, etc) please list them. In-game positions will not determine the outcome of your possibility of being accepted.

    Question 4: What are your feelings regarding Kruna items? How could you better incorporate them into Nexus?

    Question 5: What role-playing events have you been involved in before?

    Question 6: What are your thoughts on role-play and how we could increase it throughout the entire game?

    Question 7: Why do you think you would make a good representative of the RP Town?

    Question 8: Please give a brief background of the character you are applying on.

    Question 9: The RP Town is a place where role-playing ideas may prosper. Please submit in few lines a briefing for a role-play event. Your idea must include already existing contents (i.e. no new event characters, maps or items).

    Good luck to all applicants and hopefully those who join Cheyn, Teikari and the others will bring good surprises to nexus in 2010.
